Guide to evangelisation

As evangelism is often a hard task, we would like to provide some pointers from good sources.

With God, or nowhere

To start, all evangelism should be done inside the will of God. Evil actions, or co-ercement is not a good idea. Our actions are a fortress on which our testimony is judged by potential sheep. If we try to trick or force conversion in any way, we violate conscience within the minds of our friend, and therefore become an inconsistant source for them. Also, to violate the will of God, that gives such as a free choice, is also to act apart from Him, and to doubt him, therefore, co-ercement only damages God's plan.

Share Christ with deeds

Also make sure that your "evangelism" is conducted in Godly manner, and (in the case of those who believe the bible, but are not Christian, or even non-bible-believing-people), do not resort to bible quoting, but rather allow for choice, and quitely inform your apponent of verses, though in a humble sharing manner, never in a fight (if helpable, but still show there is a defence if in public, and you feel it is necessary).

Don't stress, it's in His hands! (even if you fail)

Also, do not attack those you plan to aid, but be calm and collected. Conversions often don't occur over night, and God doesn't plan for everyone to come to him, but only those who he predestined to believe. I assure you, that if you follow His guidence, you will not trouble finding those he has chosen for ministry, which is often through Love, and honesty about your faith, and not insecurely trying to preach.

Be yourself, not your guidebook

A useful guide to evangelising is to not attempt any "converting", but to be natural and Godly, remember, we are not all evangically gifted, others are given other gifts, and we may come accross as proud on our own. A good method for the lay person, is to actually invite a friend to your church (e.g. a lentern program, or youth/cell/other church group), where the Christian faith may be shared as is, without trying to sell your faith.
