This job was complicated because we were having our floors refinished during our absence, and we had arranged to seal off most of the house from cat-access in the interim. We asked Barry to come to the house in the morning to feed them and open the back door, and again in the evening to try to urge them all inside and close and lock the back door. Like most, our cats are no great fans of change, and, finding themselves limited to our small kitchen (with mysterious sounds and thumps emanating elsewhere in the house), fed by a complete stranger (quite possibly an alien being whose diet existed solely of terrestrial house cats), and, of course, having some pre-existing inter-feline personality issues, promptly freaked out. One or two vanished for a period of days, and others presumed that the food was poisoned or drugged or otherwise not to their refined taste. Nevertheless, Barry spent an astounding amount of time every day coddling and coaxing, keeping notes of the cat antics, cleaning the litter box, and managed to turn over all four cats in an intact and healthy state at the end of our sojourn. We highly recommend Barry Wolfe to anyone who could use pet-sitting services. He is conscientious, reliable, and seriously undercharges for his services. Best of all, he loves cats, and it shows in his relationship with and care for cats. To Whom It May Concern: It is my great pleasure to recommend Barry Wolfe, a.k.a. Cat Daddy, for cat and house sitting services. I am a new cat owner with a wonderful kitten who also had digestive issues at the time I was set to travel. Barry went above and beyond his pet sitting duties for our May. He not only attended to her affection and playtime needs, but also cleaned up after her diarrheal episodes. He introduced her to lots of different play items and made sure the house was safe and secure at each visit. He even emailed photos that reassured us over our prolonged vacation that May was happy and well loved. Barry is also a wealth of knowledge on cat care and cat behavior. He always leaves us helpful handouts and cute comics upon our return. He also leaves detailed daily journals of his visits. I feel very comfortable now going on vacation and leaving May comfortably in our house with such a caring and conscientious caretaker. May also looks forward to her playtime with Barry! Very truly yours, Caren Vance October 2009 To: Pet Lovers of Alameda I would like to recommend BarryWolfe to anyone that needs care for their pets. He is a kind and considerate and dependable person. If he says that he will be there, he will be there. I have hired him to take care of my 3 greyhounds and he has been just great. If I am out for the the whole day, Barry checks on them and my 4 cats. He always does more than he has to. He gives them treats and refills their water bowls and spends lots of time with them. I never have to worry about my babies and can relax and have fun. Even my shy greyhound, Bette, has warmed up to him very quicky. She is usually timid with strangers but she seems to know that Barry is "good people." Barry is more than a Cat Daddy, he is a Dog Daddy too. You will not be disappointed with his services. Regards, Sharon Caplan |
