Welcome to the premier hearth cooking organization of North Carolina! The Cooking Guild was founded in 1997 in Charlotte, NC. We specialize in authentic and historically accurate methods of 18th century hearth cooking and other historical foodways.
We meet twice a month at the President James K. Polk Memorial Homesite in Pineville, NC, as well as traveling to a variety of locations to provide demonstrations and historical lectures. Contact us to request more information.
While we are not currently accepting new members, we welcome the public to observe, ask questions and share insights on historical foodways.
