Welcome to the new home on the 'net of the Castlemere Scribes !

The Castlemere Scribes is a group of SCA members of the Shire of Castlemere in the Kingdom of Trimaris, mundanely Jacksonville, Florida, dedicated to the study and recreation of the beautiful arts of calligraphy, illumination and bookbinding of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.

Are you interested in learning more about the Fine Arts of calligraphy, illumination and bookbinding? Do you think medieval manuscripts are "to die for" ? Do you love to paint and to draw? Then come and play and join us for our next workshop !

The Scribes of Castlemere meet once a month for a "Scribal Tea", a casual and fun get-together  with either a class or a scroll workshop, some time to chat and socialize by a potluck dinner. We are part of the Trimarian College of Scribes and create award scrolls for Kingdom use.

Check the Shire of Castlemere and Scribes of Castlemere Mailinglists for dates, times and place !
