Music for the Mass of Christian BurialThe funeral liturgy for a Christian encompasses the sorrow and grief which accompanies the death of a loved one, but also celebrates the life of the deceased and the joy of everlasting life with God. Music is an important part of the funeral liturgy. It is the Church’s hope that everyone actively participate in the liturgy as much as possible, including the singing of mass parts and selected hymns.
