 Casita Constanza offers a contemporary Mexican ambiance, both atmospheric and functional. Because of its site, its thick stone/brick walls, and cross breezes the interior 'climate' is comfortable year-round. The upper level is an open-style "great room" incorporating living-dining areas and modern kitchen . Large windows and doors open on to connecting terraces, with sweeping views of San Miguel and surrounding countryside. On the lower level are two luxurious ensuite bed rooms / baths, and a huge study with double size futon sofa-bed. Ceiling fans (remotes in rooms) and gas fireplaces take the edge off the rare temperature extremes. The Commons Casita Constanza is set in a serene, elegant Commons, not too "far from the madding crowd." This unique setting -- previously a small farm -- is completely enclosed on a hillside, set far back from the access street. It includes a 17th-century capilla, which we plan to restore. The Commons is shared with two other residences. |
