On January 19, 2010 Casar Lodge 579 Held it's Annual Past Master's Degree. WB Sam Ledford raised Brother Donnie Downs to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason.

Casar Lodge 579 has started it's FUND Raising for our Masonic Charties. The 1st event of the year is the Kenneth Beam Pottery raffle. Tickets are $1.00 dollar each or 6 for $5.00 dollars. The drawing will be held on Thursday March 4, 2010.

On December 3, 2009 Casar Lodge installed the 2010 Officers. WB J.W. Hunt was presented the 2009 Mason of the Year Award. Thanks to all the officers in 2009 for your hard work and dedication to our Lodge.

Casar Lodge raised $10,500.00 dollars for the Masonic Children's Home and White Stone in 2009. To WB Sam and all the members of Casar Lodge Great Job.

On Saturday June 6, 2009 Casar Chapter 342 OES will had a Chicken Plate Supper , they raised over $1400.00 for our Masonic Charties.

On November 1, 2008 Casar Lodge had it's Centennial Celebration. We had over eighty guest in attendance, after a great BBQ supper we held an opened meeting. Special guest were Most Worshipful Grand Master of North Carolina Dave Cash who gave a speech on NC Grand Lodge History and the story of the Big Mouth Frog! Brothers Dean Clatterbuck and Pierre Goze from Potomac Lodge Number 5 in Washington DC. WB Clatterbuck gave the history of The George Washington Gavel and presented our lodge with a repecilia. WB Newton also had the privilege to use the gavel at our emergent communication earlier that afternoon. Brother George Washington used this gavel two hundred and fifteen years ago at the laying of the corner stone on the US Capital. WB Kenneth Beam gave the history of Casar Lodge over the past 100 years. Brother Paul Fannie presented the lodge with a Masonic Door knocker as a birthday present to the lodge.
On Sunday November 23, 2008 several members went to Haven in the Hill's and WB Eric Newton presented J.T. McNeilly with his fifty year service award. Pictured left to right grandson Brother Kevin McNeilly, Brother J.T. McNeilly, and son Brother Boyd McNeilly.
A special THANK YOU to Casar Chapter 342 OES, and WB J.W. Hunt for raffeling off a Masonic Cane for improvements to the lodge floor. They raised $1,038.00 dollars.
