This website sits stagnant due to North Carolina passing of the "Amazon Tax Law". The time and effort to produce something worth exploring was removed when NC website publishers lost their affiliate relationship with Amazon.com. This provided an unstable E Commerce platform forcing many Internet advertisers to refuse to do business with NC website publishers.   Lost revenue, lost Search Engine optimization, and the loss of robust Internet product Widgets which kicked ass...

Instead of holding the citizens of North Carolina responsible for their misdeeds, House Rep 35 of Cary, NC Jennifer Weiss sponsored and lobbied to place the burden of 50 million Amazon purchases on the small North Carolina website publisher.

With a website name such as CaryVote.com there is very little product sales opportunity. If it rains on Voting day, poll numbers prove you will not need a rain coat since you are unlikely not going out in the rain. The charm of a site such as this would be an opportunity to introduce our OddPortal.com web network of  websites. Many of these sites focus on North Carolina.

When the small website publisher lost their relationship with Amazon.com, we lost our ability to publish detailed North Carolina product links. No other entity on the Internet provides this service. Yes, there are other advertising methods but none give specific NC product links.

The State of North Carolina is one of the original thirteen, we have civil war battlefields, our beaches and Mountains are world class and people come here every year in search of Mayberry. Maybe she is not a top rated search as Lindsay Lohan or Miley Cyrus but our state is naturally a great place to search on the internet when planning a visit or vacation. We are the bloggers and we promote mostly within our thirty mile habitat. We are the "Local Tip" the visitor is searching for on Google.

The incumbent House rep 35 of Cary, NC , Jennifer Weiss who sponsored the "Amazon Tax law" which was pivoted on  small NC website publishers ignored our pleas and quickly moved forward to destroy our industry. Instead of educating the NC Citizen on their responsibility to pay sales tax or just stating "If you sell an item over the internet to a North Carolina resident then you must collect and return all sales tax to the state of North Carolina, Weiss choose to use the NC website publisher as a pawn and scapegoat. Weiss blamed us for your misdeed.

Weiss, the incumbent House Rep 35 of Cary  confused this issue by stating she was protecting a Raleigh Book store by leveling the playing field and going after Amazon. It should not be forgotten this happened two months before the release of the Kindle and the onslaught of other internet based book readers.  The small book store is still open and the Internet book readers are selling well. You are stuck reading my exuse for not having nothing to read.

I agree Amazon should collect sales tax and the NC citizen should pay the sales tax of their Internet purchases. At NO Point should the relationship with the advertising partners of small NC website publishers be used as a pawn for the misdeeds of an entire state population.

Place here a NC Product Link.  Just imagine something tasty as a Moravian cookie or some eastern NC barbecue from Windsor, NC. Imagine reading this in your Outerbanks Hammock or exploring small town North Carolina and the products the local people make.  Not going to happen ...DUDE ...because you sat back while they stole our Amazon relationship....  Thanks!!!!

Your responsibility is to VOTE and vote often. Take the time to visit with the candidate  in person and on their website. In Cary, NC,  I prefer Don Frantz because when I studied Frantz's incumbent opponent, I found her out of touch with the role of local legislators. Cary needs a candidate which will help the local economy by providing local business first policies. Cary, NC needs to be represented by business owner. Don Frantz is a business owner and so much more.
