Carrie Miller Makes Stuff

Some Projects
(top to bottom):

  •  Mud-flap placemat (with mysterious protractor) This is a super easy project using a pre-bought placemat from the 99 cent store, fusible web, and some cool iron-on fabric that you can print out with your desktop printer.
  • Texas potholder
This was so fun! It is "Afghan" crocheted. You could do any state. This is a super easy technique that makes a really thick fabric. It is "lined" on the other side with  blue and yellow calico.
  • Oaxacan carving inspired Animal wall hanging (in progress)
This happens to be a tapir. You could do any animal. This uses fusible web and the "Snippet" technique of Cindy Walter.
  • Hotchpotch name sign
This one is machine appliquéd. I am currently designing the entire alphabet and writing the instructions.
  • Skull hanging
    All is vanity.
