If tribes of the past can find peace, we tribes of this century can find peaceful solutions to problems in our world. We must not strike on other countries pre-emptively. We must learn to live in knowledge instead of fear. The songs Carrie has written speak from her heart of saddness to this country's strike on Iraq. "Speak of Change" talks about the loss of our rights as United States citizens to freedom of speech and press. "Explosions of Truth" calls us to explore the truths and then release ourselves from fear to make informed decisions. In her first album she combines songs of peace with songs of nature.
