All the World’s a Stage!
The Carrboro High School Theatre Department opens its 2011-2012 season with William Shakespeare’s “As You Like It.”  In this charming comedy, young men and women flee tyrannical nobles to the forest amid romantic entanglements and confusion.  Classic Shakespearean misidentification and love-at-first-sight lead to side-splitting hilarity. The original play primarily takes place in a French forest, but the Carrboro HS production adds a unique twist by setting the play in present-day, local North Carolina; it includes live bluegrass music performed by CHS students.

The performance stars Eliza Filene, Conor O’Kane, Carina Guerra, Andrew Cook, Sara Terrell (also student Director), Anthony Fraden, Gigi Krachenfels, Nicole Gabriel, Nate FitzSimons, and Aaron Warshauer and also features Michelle Mason, Katie Edmiston, Santul Nerkar, Caroline Colman, Emma Siplon, Ally Copenhaver, Will Pierson, Julia Banks, Jesse Barrow, and Marshall Lynn.  The crew is also led by student Assistant Director Emily Goehlmann and Stage Manager Taylor Norris all under the faculty direction of Brett Stegall.  This is the second major production since the opening of the school’s state-of-the-art auditorium.

Show times are 7:30 p.m., Thursday through Saturday, November 3-5.  Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students, and can be reserved at https://sites.google.com/site/chsreservations/
