Josh proposed on Christmas Eve 2007. His parents live near Charleston, SC., so we went down there for Christmas. He booked a room at the historic Francis Marion Hotel in dowtown Charleston, and had reservations at the awesome and super fancy Circa 1886 restaurant. The reservations weren't until 9PM so we did some window shopping before going back to the hotel to relax and changes clothes. We took the a Black Cab (looks like a "london cab") to the restaurant and I felt like a queen the whole time. We had a good time at dinner, the food was great, but mostly we made fun of how stereotypically fancy the place was with the tiny portions. Throughout dinner I noticed that as people finished their dinner and were getting ready to leave they were brought treats in little blue boxes that looked like purses. I think you've figured it out now, but when mine came it had a beautiful ring in it. I grinned as he asked me to marry him, and said, "Yes, of course!"
