The reception will be a cocktail style reception with heavy hors d'oeurves. The venue for the reception is the Granby Theater in downtown Norfolk, VA. It is an old vaudeville theater built in 1915, which was restored and is now a nightclub. Therefore, we have a built-in after-party. Cocktail "hour" will be from 6:00PM -6:45 and then the reception will be from 6:45-9:30 and then the doors will open to the public. Around 9, Josh and I will changes clothes and then anyone who wants to stay will be moved into the VIP balcony along with any leftover food. We have the menu figured out, but I'm too lazy right now to type it all out. I'll do it eventually. We did decide to already be in the venue when guests arrive and greet them. The light hors d'ourves will be served during this time and bellinis will be ready and set out for guests when they arrive. Reception Decor
As you can see from the pictures above, there isn't much decor needed. We're going to have white, red, and black baccarat roses in various shaped and sized vases. Something like the picture below only w/o candles and they'll be a floralyte under the rocks in the vase. We have over 200 roses so I have a feeling there will be petals strewn on tables, too.
 Popcorn Bar
 We're gonna do a popcorn bar, which seemed appropriate since we're doing a vintage hollywood style wedding. I plan to get the popcorn from The Popcorn Wagon, though there's a possibility I'll end up getting it from Jody's popcorn instead.
I have red bags with personalized stickers. Haven't decided whether to let them seal their bags with the stickers or have the already on the bags. Here's an example of what it would look like:
