This tourney ran from 6:30AM - 2:30PM. I had not fished this lake before and did not have a topo map to help. I spent my time fishing docks and structure that I found along the banks. Very nice lake would like to go again at the next chance. All the anglers seem to have, had a similar day trying to find the bite. The winning anglers:

2nd Larry Halsey 6.41Lbs (3 fish)
3rd Ronnie Cox 5.99Lbs (5 fish)
Big Fish 5.20Lbs went to Chris Coleman

High Rock, August 22
This tourney ran from 6:00AM - 2:00PM. Morning weather was nice mid 70's overcast, humidity around 90%. Expecting mostly cloudy weather and mid 80's.
The first couple of hours were good. I had two good fish in the livewell. The bite was subtle needed to give them plenty of time before setting the hook Funny thing about fish you could sense that something changed. Not long after this, the rain and thunder rolled across the lake. It wasn't a shower it was a freak'n torrential downpour with thunder and lighting lasting a couple hours. After the rain moved away, so did the bite. Not another keeper the rest of the day. Back at the weigh-in, the stories seemed all the same. Early bites, lots of rain, then no more fish. The anglers were safe, through the stormy rain, and finish the day with some good stories to share.
This event we caught 29 fish weighing in 67.61 pounds. Buggs Island May 16-17
We had super turn out for Buggs Island. It was great to have the whole club there plus everyone staying at the same hotel. It sure helped the logistics for Bruce Wrenn and John Orchard.
Day 1 - 51% of the club brought in a limit. It was exciting to have those results.
Day 2 - Ended with a lot of rain. Between the overcast sky and rain the fish were on and off like a switch.
Over the two days we caught 133 fish weighing in 209.09 pounds. On an extra note for Day 2. Larry Smith brought in a limit, the first time since I joined the club.I do not know what the competition caught their fish on. All of mine came on a hook.

Regional Tournament Report from Buggs Island Apr 25-26
Some of the guys arrived for pre-fishing on Wednesday, others arrived on Thursday and everyone was there by Friday.
The weather went from 40mph wind and 5-7 foot waves to calm and 93%. A huge swing and the fish swung with it. We all had a very good time shared a lot of info, learned a lot of info. Some had good days of practice, others not so good and some great
I could tell you about the tourny but not much to say. We have two guys that will be going to the states. Congrates to Bruce Wrenn and Larry Martin. Both made the top 60
and are going to the State Tournament at lake Norman.I want to thank everyone who participated and for representing the Carolinian Bassmasters.
