Making Your Dreams Come True - No Matter What!
Letter to Families Books We Will Be Reading
Like branches of a tree reaching for sunlight through the wind and rain, children can blossom and fluorish despite life's ups and downs, and will be all the stronger for having done so!
In this unit, the students will be exploring the answers to these Central Questions:
What is perseverance?
What does it mean to overcome adversity through perseverance?
What does it take to succeed by persevering?
Through our reading and discussions, the students will come to understand these generalizations:
Perseverance is sticking with something even when it’s very hard or when you have setbacks.
When a person continues on, even when it might be easier to quit, they are persevering through difficult situations.
Someone overcomes hard times and challenges by keeping the goal in mind and not losing faith in one’s self.
Sometimes, it's an awfully long road we have to travel - but getting where we're going is WORTH it!
If our goals are worth reaching, then sometimes we have to just keep at it and stick to it, and never, never give up!
REMEMBER! The only person holding you back - is YOU!!
