Please sponsor me to try to stop nine wind turbines being erected around our beautiful countryside!

These two before and after images show the impact these could have on the landscape;

 The main issues are;

  • Massive visual impact
  • Noise pollution
  • Proximity to homes
  • Impact on property values
  • Risk to health

So what am I doing?

My aim is to climb the mountain ‘Suilven’ in the Highlands of Scotland  to raise funds for "Preserve" the organisation which is working to prevent this development.

It is a gruelling 14 mile climb with a very steep final ascent.  Its unique outline and challenging remoteness makes it a 9-10 hour endurance challenge (and that’s for the dedicated enthusiast!).

Being a novice this will definitely be a real challenge for me.  I have been going to this area for many years and have always dreamt of climbing Suilven – well maybe both wishes will come true.

I have been training all year to improve my stamina and walking skills to make sure I am up to the challenge.

So I do hope you will help my cause. You can make a donation by clicking here

Thanks for your support!
