BioGiovanna Carofiglio received the
Dr Ing degree in telecommunication engineering and in electronic
and telecommunication engineering, both from Politecnico di Torino, Italy, in 2004, and
the PhD in telecommunication engineering jointly from Politecnico di Torino and Telecom Paris-
Tech, Paris, France, in 2008. Her graduate reseach focused on stochastic analysis of wired and wireless
networks and has been performed at Politecnico di Torino and at Ecole Normale Superieure (ENS Ulm)
in the INRIA-TREC group. Since July 2008, she is with Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs,
Paris working on design and performance evaluation of communication networks. She is a member of the IEEE.
