Carlos Rymer is a sustainability specialist by training with a strong focus on climate change, renewable energy development, and sustainable management in the United States and Latin America. Rymer has a record of leading climate change and sustainability efforts at the local, state, and national levels, helping secure strong policy victories at Cornell University, in New Jersey, and in the Dominican Republic. 

With a B.S. in Science of Natural and Environmental Systems from Cornell University (with a concentration in Sustainable Development) and an M.P.A. in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University, Rymer also has extensive consulting experience in emerging fields like sustainable business, ecosystem services markets, and sustainable resource management.

Most recently, Rymer has focused on the use of Web 2.0 tools to promote social entrepreneurship, specifically using the Elgg platform to develop innovative web applications. As a result, he is interested in launching or joining start-ups focused on using emerging web tools to deliver real market results.
