Carin Cowell is Virginia Opera’s Supertitle Manager. She earned her degree in Theatre Arts and Vocal Music from Hillsdale College in Michigan. After more than twelve seasons as a Virginia Opera Chorister, Carin remains active behind the scenes. For the past eight years, she has been operating and translating Virginia Opera’s supertitles. Carin has enjoyed a varied career that includes teaching, directing, radio and television broadcasting, as well as performing. Now enjoying semi-retirement, Carin coaches private students in voice and acting at her home studio and offers transcription services.
