Mark of the Potter - Batesville Ga
One of the Resident Artists at "Mark of the Potter", a wonderful "craft" shop sitting on the Soque River in Batesville, Ga (Near Clarkesville and Helen). This is a place that Terry and I have been going for many years - - - I can remember taking Dorothy's baby stroller in there!! They have pet "fish" in the river behind and below the shop, which was an old grain mill "back in the day" . . . several kinds of Trout that are so fat and sassy you wouldn't believe them!!! I have bought numerous pieces from them over the years and treasure them highly. I have four beautiful coffee mugs that are among my favorites. Found out on Sunday that the "blue" in some of the pieces, including my two of my mugs, is from cobalt. I'm delighted, needless to say, to be back within "Run over there Sunday after church" distance of the shop!!
