Queensland

Updated - 9 Mar 2012

The Queensland Caravan Club was formed in 1949 to help caravanners enjoy their caravans, and we still do today.

Although we have quite a range of age groups and occupations, we share a common love of the outdoors and of the freedom to explore Australia in a caravan.  Caravan clubs often have access to many venues available only to club members.  Sometimes we visit places off the beaten track that you would normally bypass on holidays.

Every month we meet at organised rallies within a reasonable driving distance of Brisbane.  At the rallies we relax in an informal and friendly atmosphere and enjoy a variety of social activities, such as:
  • Playing disk bowls, cricket or golf, or such, or
  • Telling tall tales around a campfire, or
  • Sharing a camp oven dinner, or
  • Going on a tour of a local place of interest, or
  • Playing a musical instrument, or singing along, or dancing, or
  • Visiting places we've always wanted to see with friends.
It’s great to share your caravaning knowledge with others with a similar interest.  Our members are always ready with a helping hand, and new members are quickly made to feel at home.  Our monthly newsletter informs us what is going on and keeps us in touch.

Queensland Caravan Club’s motto is “Fellowship on Wheels”, a great motto.  We widen our circle of friends through regular contact with other caravan clubs throughout Queensland and in other states.   But we can always find room for more friendly faces – so come and join us!

Our club has no limit on membership numbers.  If you enjoy great company and have a love of all things caravaning, give us a call and you will be on your way to making new friends.
