This will be the first National Rally to break with tradition and be able to hold the Rally at a time best suited to the organizing State. And what better time to visit Queensland than in Spring and September – perfect weather for traveling and even better for enjoying all that Queensland and Rockhampton, in particular, has to offer.
The venue for the Rally is ideally situated within easy reach of shops, restaurants, hospitals, entertainment venues, beaches – everything anyone could possibly need or wish for is very close at hand. Meet your friends for dinner at one of the local Services Clubs or Restaurants or enjoy a meal at the Rally Venue. Take a drive up to Mt Archer and the spectacular views, explore the local caves or go across to the Capricorn Coast beaches.
You will not be looking for things to do. Many tours are being organized for rally attendants by the professionals themselves – Capricorn Enterprise.
But, if you prefer, stay on site and enjoy the many activities on offer both day and night of the Rally in the air conditioned comfort of the main pavilion. Day time activities will include craft sessions, technology classes, sporting events, book club, bingo, informative seminars on a variety of topics, exhibitor stands, market stalls – the list is never ending – you will not be looking for something to do! Some big surprises are being planned for the evening’s entertainment which are sure to please and have attendees talking about for long afterwards.
Children have not been forgotten in our planning. Professional care is being looked at for the children and a wide range of activities being planned based on recommendations from the children themselves as to what they would like to see happen at the Rally. So, come on kids, get Mum and Dad to register now.
