Cadets will wear the blue CAP uniform while traveling (short-sleeve w/ flight
cap – tie, wheel cap, jacket is optional). While one day at SUPT (to be announced) the uniform will be short-sleeve shirt, no tie, flight cap, and proper shoes (no wheel cap/tie/jacket), the rest of the week cadets will wear BDUs w/ proper cap and boots. Remember to pack smartly and to put most items in checked baggage to make passing through security an uneventful event. Upon arrival at San Antonio Airport, go to the USO in Terminal 2. CAP staff will be there to greet everyone and sign you in. We’ll use that area to store bags and relax. The arrivals times usually range between approximately 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., so bring something to occupy your time as there isn’t much in the USO to entertain yourselves. You will be free to go get something to eat after you sign in. Del Rio is about a 3 ½-hour drive by bus. We’ll load up when most of the cadets have arrived and leave shortly after the last cadet arrives, which will hopefully be no later than 3 p.m. We’ll get dinner upon arrival in Del Rio. Anyone coming in a day early to San Antonio should please arrange to be at Terminal 2 at 1 p.m. on Sunday. All Saturday arrivals will be required to obtain their own lodging at their own expense.
