URI student stabbed at dance

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (AP) -- Police investigate a stabbing at a campus dance at the University of Rhode Island.

It happened early yesterday morning at a dance organized by the Cape Verdean Students Association.

Police say a 20-year-old male student was stabbed in the abdomen. He was later treated at a hospital and released.

Police are currently searching for suspects and don’t have a motive yet in the attack.
