BROCKTON: Police Make Arrests in Shooting Death Case

Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced today that 2 people have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of Matthew A. Collins, DOB 5/22/90, which occurred Monday night in Brockton.

Admir Lopes Resende, DOB 3/1/90, has been charged with Accessory After the Fact of Murder. A juvenile has been charged with Murder.

A approximately 5:30 pm on April 13, the Brockton Police Department responded to East Main St and East Battles St for a shooting. Upon arrival they found the victim later identified as Matthew Collins suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to a Brockton area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Both suspects will be arraigned Tuesday in Brockton District Court.
