25 Former Hostages Arrive In South Africa From Angola

A total fo 25 former hostages, including a Roman Catholic priest and 11 nuns, arrived in South Africa after being released by the anti-Government guerrillas in Angola who had seized them, an official of the International Committee of the Red Cross said today.

Andre Colomb, director of the South African office of the International Committee of the Red Cross, said the 25 arrived Saturday on a chartered plane.

Of the hostages, all of whom were captured this summer, there were 14 Portuguese citizens, 5 Mexicans, 3 Spaniards, a Cape Verdean, a Colombian and an Angolan.
