The National Police Emigration and Border Service arrested a 24-year-old émigré in the early morning hours of today in possession of 3.5 kilograms of cocaine as he was preparing to board a flight to Lisbon at Praia International Airport.

The Cape Verdean male arrested this morning at Praia International Airport resides in Portugal. The drugs were discovered during the routine personal and baggage check all outgoing international passengers go through at the airport.

According to A Semana Online’s sources, today’s arrest brings the total amount of cocaine seized by the National Police at Praia International Airport so far this month to 6.5 kilograms.
