MENDES, ANA DIAS dePINA, 61, of Concord St. died Sunday at Roger Williams Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Pedro S. Mendes. Mrs. Mendes was born in Brava, Cape Verde Island a daughter of the late Joao S. and Laura (Delgado) DePina. She came to this country 23 years ago settling in Providence. Besides her husband she is survived by 2 daughters Eugenia Mendes of Pawtucket and Adelaide Mendes of Providence, 1 son Jorge Mendes of Providence, 3 sisters Lucia A. DePina and and Maria A. DePina both of Pawtucket and Maria D. Pereira of Providence, 3 brothers Marcelino DePina of Providence, Miguel DePina of Pawtucket and Antonio DePina of Angola, 2 grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 9 A.M. from the Merrick R. Williams Funeral Home, 530 Smithfield Avenue, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 99 Camp Street, Providence. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday 5-9 P.M.
