Matthew “P.C.” Gilmete, 31, went to be with the Lord on July 5, 2006. Matthew was born in Baytown, Texas on August 12, 1974 to Marcelino and Amada Gilmete.

Matthew was a very intelligent, loving and talented individual, even though he could be stubborn at times. He was well known for his outgoing and charismatic personality. If you were having a bad day, Matthew could always find a way to make you smile and laugh. He loved to go fishing and cruising in his car. Matthew’s daughter, Valerie absolutely adored him in every way. Matthew’s memory will live on. He will be remembered and missed by many always.

Matthew is preceded in death by his parents, Marcelino and Amada Gilmete. Left to cherish his memory, his daughter, Valerie Rose Gilmete of Sugarland, Texas. His brother- Jesse Quijano of Baytown, Texas. Sisters, Marie Lopez of New Bedford, Ma., Linda Gilmete of Fall River, Ma., and Eugenia Ortiz of Pompano Beach, Florida; Nephew, Jesse Quijano of Baytown, Texas, Niece, Patricia Quijano of Houston, Texas.

For those desiring, memorials can be given to a charity of ones choice.

The family will receive friends at Earthman Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, July 9, 2006 from 6-8p.m. with a rosary held at 7p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 1124 Beech St. on Monday, July 10, 2006 at 11a.m. with Reverend Carlos Vega officiating. Juan Martinez, Jesus Martinez, Tony Guerrero, Joel Valdovinos, Tony Juarez and Tony Ortega will serve as pallbearers.
