| John Gomes | | |  NEW BEDFORD — John Gomes, 81, of New Bedford died February 27, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Survivors include a brother, Manuel Gomes; a sister, Anna Mendes; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was the brother of the late Antone, James, Lucy and Dominga Gomes, Mary Rosario, Jenny Gonsalves and Ida Monteiro.
John did so much for so many and will be dearly missed.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12 Noon in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. His family will receive guests on Wednesday from 10 AM to 12 Noon prior to his service. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
