Standard Times, January 10, 1990 Anna Gomes Providence, RI Ana (Gilbert) Gomes, 53, of 195 Leonard Ave., East Providence, died Monday, Jan. 8, 1990, after a long illness. She was the wife of Ronald Gomes and daughter of the late Moniz and Mary (Tavares) Gilbert. She died at Rhode Island Hospital. She was born in New Bedford and lived there until the age of 18 when she moved to Providence. She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church. Survivors include her widower, two sons, Ronald Jr. and Wayne, both of East Providence, a daughter, Desiree Gomes of East Providence, four sisters, Delores Nunn, Rosemarie Jesus, Eleanor Borges and Janet Gilbert, all of New Bedford; three brothers, John Gilbert and Morris Gilbert, both of New Bedford and Jack Gilbert of Seekonk; and two grandchildren.
