Alice G. Gomes, 71, of Pawtucket, died Tuesday at home. She was

the wife of the late Julio !. Gomes. Mrs. Gomes was born in Brava,

Cape Verde, a daughter of the late Manuel J. and Carlota

(DaGraca) Goncalves. She came to this country 21 years ago

settling in Pawtucket. She was employed by International

Packaging as a packer for five years. She is survived by her

children Maria Duarte of Central Falls, Domingas Gomes, Armando

Gomes and Elisa Fonseca all of Pawtucket. 13 brothers and sisters

grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Mother of the late

Madalena Duarte and Pedro Gomes. A funeral will be held

Saturday at 9am from the Merrick R. Williams Funeral Home 530

Smithfield Ave. Pawtucket with a service at 10 am in Covenant

Congregational Church 143 Glenwood Ave. Pawtucket. Burial will
