FRANCISCO HENRIQUES "ROOSEVELT" FONTES, 51, of Warren Avenue, a disabled state social worker, died Sunday at home.

Born in Fogo, the Cape Verde Islands, a son of Eugenio and Emilia (Goncalves) Fontes of East Providence, he had lived in East Providence for many years. Besides his parents, he leaves a daughter, Sasha Fontes of East Providence; two sons, Roosevelt Fontes of Johnston and Manuel Fontes of East Providence; three sisters, Rosemarie Vasconcelos of East Providence, and Maria St. Jean and Felomenia Visokay, both of Brandon, Fla.; two brothers, Carlos Fontes Goncalves of Providence and Jospeh Fontes of East Providence; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Friday at 7:30 a.m. from the Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, High Street, Central Falls. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
