EDUINO R. DePINA, 48, of Hurley Avenue, an engineer, died Thursday in an auto accident on Route 93 in Canton, Mass.

He was the husband of Maria (Lopes) DePina. Born born in Fogo, Cape Verde, a son of the late Alberto and Maria (Livramento) DePina, he came to the United States 22 years ago, settling in Cambridge, Mass., and had lived in Pawtucket for 10 months.

Mr. DePina was employed by Building Technology Engineers Inc., Boston, as an engineer for nine years.

Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Lesley DePina of Dorchester, Mass.; three sons, Eddey DePina and Brian DePina, both of Pawtucket, and Milton DePina in Portugal; three sisters, Joaquina DePina, Maria DePina and Lourdes DePina, all in Cape Verde; and a brother, Jose DePina of Everett, Mass.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. from Merrick R. Williams Funeral Home, 530 Smithfield Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Avenue. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
