ANTONIO A. DaCRUZ, 77, of Carrington Avenue, a former carpenter, died Monday at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in S. Nicolau, Cape Verde, a son of the late Amelia Ana DaCruz, he came to the United States two years ago, settling in Providence. Mr. DaCruz had been a self-employed carpenter in Cape Verde. He leaves eight sons, Jose, Aguinaldo and Orlando DaCruz, all of Providence, Pedro and Antonio DaCruz, both of Pawtucket, and Hercolano, Amilca and Salvador DaCruz, all of Cape Verde; seven daughters, Amelia DosSantos, Julia and Ilda DaCruz and Maria DoSantos, all of Providence, Felisbela DaCruz of Pawtucket, and Amanda and Filomena DaCruz, both in Cape Verde; two brothers, Joaquim Gomes of Providence and Cecilio Silva of Chelsea, Mass., and another brother and three sisters, all in Cape Verde; and 27 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was the father of the late Salvador DaCruz. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. from Lachapelle Funeral Home, 643 Main St., Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Holy Name Church, Camp Street, Providence.
