LEONORA J. GASPIE

BARNSTABLE -- Leonora J. (Robbins) Gaspie, 78, of Nantucket died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005, at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis.

Born in Nantucket, she was the daughter of the late Julio Robbins and Mary (Monteiro) Souza.

Known as Nana to many, she was a self-employed caretaker of children and the elderly.

Ms. Gaspie was a member of Our Lady of the Isle Church, Nantucket.

Survivors include a brother, Julio Robbins Jr. of Nantucket; her caretaker, Gregory P. Centeio II of Fairhaven; grandchildren; nieces and nephews; cousins; and the Gaspie family.

She was the sister of the late Leo Galvam Jr., Russell Robbins, Constance Monteiro, Mary Monteiro, Dorothy Mack Johnson and Elizabeth Robbins.

Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Our Lady of the Isle Church.

Arrangements are by Perry Funeral Home Inc., 111 Dartmouth St., New Bedford.
