"James" Andrade Jr., 60, died Thursday, May 20, 2004 at Tobey Hospital surrounded by his family after battling cancer. He was the husband of Alice (Alves) Andrade. They were married 35 and a half years. Born in Wareham, he was the son of Frances (Barboza) Andrade of Wareham and the late Thomas J. Andrade Sr. He attended Rochester schools. He loved his family, his church and his music. An avid fan of both the Red Sox and the Patriots, he also enjoyed fishing, his Ford F-150 and a good conversation. He was a longtime member of the Emmanuel Assembly of God and enjoyed many years of fellowhip there. Mr. Andrade was proud to drive for P.A. Landers and was admired by his co-workers who referred to him as "Reverend." Survivors include his wife, Alice; his mother, Frances; three daughters, Alisa Andrade and Diana Santos both of Wareham, and Carol Kemp; four sons, Keith Cliff of Forestdale, Kenneth Cliff and Richard Cliff, both of Buzzards Bay, and Sheldon Gonsalves; three brothers, Frank Andrade and Anthony Andrade, both of Wareham, and David Andrade of Whitman; three sisters, Patricia Fillippini of Rochester, Jamila Abdal-Khallaq of Dorchester and Carol Andrade of New Bedford; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Rita Andrade and Joseph, John and Robert Andrade. His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Stott, Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery. |
