WAREHAM -- Dorothy R. (Monteiro) Jorge, 68, of Wareham died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at home. She was the wife of Epifanio Jorge, and the daughter of the late Egidie and Fannie (Santos) Monteiro.

Born in Wareham, she was a lifelong resident of the town.

Mrs. Jorge worked at Ocean Spray Cranberry Co. for 20 years and retired in 1986.

She was a member of the Wareham Elks Lodge 1548 and was active at the Council on Aging.

Survivors include her widower; two sons, Nelson Jorge and James Jorge, both of Wareham; a daughter, Aida Jorge of Puerto Rico; four brothers, Donald Monteiro and David Monteiro, both of Wareham, and William Monteiro and Robert Monteiro, both of New Bedford; two sisters, Nancy Andrews and Emily Rocha, both of Wareham; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
