Beloved husband of Alice (Duarte) Gomes for 66 years. Born in Brava, Cape Verde Islands, a son of the late Jacquim Feijoa and Julia Gomes, he came to the US in 1952 and settled in Providence before moving to East Providence in 1960. He was a member of the Bethany Church of the Nazarene where he was a former treasurer and member of the choir. Besides his wife he leaves six children, Claudio Gomes, Adriela Fernandes, Rosino Gomes, Egas Gomes, Claudina Farman and Jule Noack; one brother, Abel Gomes; fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Father of the late Roger Gomes. Funeral Thursday at 8:45 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Services at 10 a.m. in the Bethany Church of the Nazarene, 1275 Pawtucket Ave., Rumford. Interment, Rumford Cemetery.
