Samuel Andrade


FALL RIVER -- Samuel Andrade, 82, of North Main Street, formerly of Tuttle Street, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center.

Born in Rhode Island, son of the late Carlos and Etelvina (Monteiro) Andrade, he spent his youth in Providence, moving to Fall River 15 years ago.

Mr. Andrade was a self-employed painter and cab driver for several years in the Fall River area.

He was an Army veteran, having served during World War II.

Survivors include two daughters, Samara Andrade of Fall River and Sandra Hicks of Coventry, R.I.; a son, Samuel Keegan of Providence; two brothers, Joseph Andrade of Cranston, R.I., and Manuel Andrade of Singer Island, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Otis of Singer Island and Loretta Savastano; and six grandchildren.

He was the brother of the late Anna Andrade and William Andrade.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Cherry Place Home of Waring-Sullivan, Ashton, Coughlin, Driscoll, 178 Winter St.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
