Anacleto, 84, of Dartmouth, died Thursday, July 28, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Emily "Mamie" (Lima) Anacleto. They were married 65 years. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late John M. and Dominga (Gilmette) Anacleto. He lived in Dartmouth most of his life, and attended St. Lawrence Church and Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Mr. Anacleto worked in the shipping and receiving department of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 38 years until he retired. A World War II veteran, he served in the American Merchant Service. He was a member of Andrews-Dahill Post 1531 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Anacleto was the beloved patriarch of his family of five generations. His hobbies were woodworking, putting around the yard, and making birdhouses with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his widow; a son, John R. Anacleto and his wife, Anna, of Quincy; a daughter, Marlene D. Burgo of New Bedford; a brother, Edward Anacleto of Fall River; a sister, Bevienda Fernandes of New Bedford; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was the father-in-law of the late Jack Burgo; and brother of the late Dorothy Mitte, Manuel Anacleto and Joaquim Anacleto. His funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Church.
