JOHN J. DEPINA JR. 

 BROCKTON -- John Joseph DePina Jr., 60, of Whitman died Friday, April 30, 2004, at Brockton Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Brenda A. (Pina) DePina. 
 Born and raised in New Bedford, he was the son of the late John J. and Fulovia (Lopes) DePina. 
 Mr. DePina was the founder and president of A Plus Insurance Inc. and Realtyland, which he owned and operated for many years. 
 He was a jack of all trades, licensed in insurance and other financial services, real estate and building. He was a successful entrepreneur who was known for his honesty and fairness. 
 He was a deeply spiritual man who valued his many relationships with people. 
 He actively participated and was dedicated to the music ministry as a guitarist in the Baptist Church of All Nations, Taunton. He was a fervent believer in Jesus and shared his message at every opportunity. 
 He will be remembered for his generosity, unselfish acts of giving and unconditional love for his family and friends. 
 He was an Army veteran. 
 Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Michele R. DePina of Whitman and Christine M. DePina of New York; three sons, John J. DePina III of Boston, and Michael R. DePina and David A. DePina, both of Whitman; two grandchildren, Melanie and Julian; three brothers, Richard DePina of Marion, and Charles DePina and David DePina, both of New Bedford; three sisters, Marion Oliviere, Jeanne DePina and Mary DePina, all of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews. 
 His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Baptist Church of All Nations, 61 Winthrop St. Burial will follow in Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman. 
 Arrangements are by Blanchard's Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, Whitman.
