He was the husband of Mary Ann (Silva) Gomes. Born in Wareham, he was the son of the late Domingo R. Sr. and Doris (Santos) Gomes. Mr. Gomes was a plastic injection mold technician for Pixley Richards Co. in Plymouth for many years. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his widow; four sons, Harry G. "Geno" Gomes Jr. of New Bedford, John H. Andrews of Middleboro, and Michael J. Andrews and Jeffrey C. Andrews, both of Carver; two sisters, Maryann Ramos of Wareham and Doreen J. Mack of Hopkins, Fla; a brother, Domingo A. Gomes Jr. of New Bedford; nine grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Stott, Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Wareham. |
