NEW BEDFORD -- Earl L. Silva, 54, died Wednesday, March 6, 1996, after a long illness. He was the son of Helen (Silva) Dillard of New Bedford and the late Louis Alves.
He died at St. Luke's Hospital.
He was born in New Bedford and lived here for the past 12 years where he was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
He was formerly employed by Bethlehem Steel as a mailman.
Mr. Silva was a member of The Cape Verdean American Veterans.
Suvivors include his mother; two sisters, Merilyn Silva and Louisa Alves, both of New Bedford; three brothers, Louis Alves Jr. of Dedham, Kenneth Alves of New Bedford and Daryl Alves of Princeton, N.J.; and a son, Anthony Perry, with the U. S. Air Force in California.
Arrangements are by the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St.
