Antone S. Livramento - Obituary

 WAREHAM -- Antone S. Livramento, 74, died Monday, August 17, 1998, at Tobey Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Julia C. (Cardoza) Livramento. 

 Born in New Bedford, he lived there most of his life. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. 

Mr. Livramento served in the Navy for 20 years until his retirement in 1964. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. 

He was later employed as a driver for the Almeida Bus Company and the Union Street Railway. He then worked for the New Bedford Housing Authority until his retirement. 

Mr. Livramento was one of the founders of the Cape Verdean-American Veterans Association. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association and a former member of the Cape Verdean Ultramarine Band Club. 

Survivors include his wife; a son, Paul A. Livramento of Graton, Calif.; a brother, Joseph Livramento of Padelford, R.I.; two sisters, Florence Almeida and Theresa Almeida, both of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews. 

 A funeral Mass will be Friday at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Church. 

 Arrangements are by Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals.
