Kitchen (Ikea style)

I was told I needed a good lamp in the kitchen, so I thought about one with a chrome hood reflecting lots of light down would be a good idea. The Venetian blinds were a pain to install, but I figured they'ld be a lot easier to clean then "roll-up / roll-down" curtain that was there before (which was greasy to a level that no curtains should ever be!) Thank you Ikea for these lovely (and not too expensive) items! The urm... "suction hood" above the kitchen cooker uses a special filter so it doesnt need a vent shaft leading outside (this specific filter does need replacing much quicker then a "suction hood" with vent shaft)

Snowdon's extractor hood

Lord Snowdon designed and had built this weird looking extractor hood for the kitchen in Apartment 1a in Kensington Palace. It is a cantilever design so the lower two points dont actually touch the wall.
