We are very grateful for your generous donations to Canyon View Family Faculty Organization. With your continued support, Canyon View Elementary School FFO is able to fund student field trips, artist in residence, teacher reimbursements, assemblies, and school events.
Along with funding the aforementioned items above, Canyon View FFO have been able to enhance your student's educational experience and the school's physical environment. These major projects were made possible through your donations and voted on by you during our monthly FFO meetings through grant requests and initiatives:
2009 - 2010
- Nine market umbrellas for the couryard purchased June 2010: Five 9-foot stainless steel pole/fiberglass ribs and four 6-foot square wood pole/fiberglass ribs (replaceable canopes from California Umbrellas)
- Three tables/benches for the courtyard.
- MPR Sound Project: 2-1/8" noise reduction panels; CD/MP3/iPod player; four (three non-operational)microphone XLR receptacles replaced (three on stage and one on the back wall); relocated existing Bose speakers away from the heat emitted by stage lights; rewired CD player to meet wiring code. Cloth covered reduction panels may be used as display posters, flyers, art work using push pins.
- Dedicated CV parent volunteers trimmed and removed parasitic mistletoe from trees inside around the big field.
- Flip cameras and headsets
- Junior Grade books
- Books for CV Library & Reading Room ($7,000 funded through proceeds from A+ Book Fair)
- Wii Controls & boom box for PE
- Bluetooth connector for Kindergarten Smart Board
- Twenty-two stainless steel pole/fiberglass ribs 9-foot market umbrellas in the courtyard purchased & installed August 2009 (replaceable canopes from California Umbrellas)
2008 - 2009
- Playground the big field: Custom intensity Burke playground equipment; engineered wood fiber; 12' black timbers to contain wood fibers. Additional modular Burke equipment may be purchased to expand the play complex.
- MPR upgrade: repainted MPR walls, bathrooms, and kitchen, replaced baseboards, replace electical plates
- Retractable projector screen in the MPR
- Three window shades in the MPR
- Dumpster and dumping fees for tree clippings
- Dedicated CV parents trimmed and removed parasitic mistletoe from trees inside main campus and parking lot
- School garden by the entrance
2007 - 2008
- Replaced every classroom desks for grades 1 through 5
- Computer on Wheels
- Library Books
- Portable speakers
2006 - 2007
- Playground equipment located southeast of the campus by the main entrance
- Soccer goal set
- Twenty 6-foot folding tables
- Shade structure in the small playground (northeast of the campus)
