The Four Agencies
Families can contribute to each of 4 agencies as each support students in distinct ways:
HOW CAN I GIVE?
1. Canyon View FFO (Family Faculty Organization): See About CV FFO.
2. Canyon View Elementary School Gifts and Donations: Gifts can be given directly to the school. The gift can be designated for a specific purpose or left to the discretion of the principal to decide the greatest need.
3. Arizona State 2009 Tax Credit for Public Schools (district wide): Every Arizona taxpayer has the opportunity to give a set amount of dollars to CFSD instead of paying it in taxes. It's not just a deduction; it's a dollar-for-dollar tax credit that reduces what you owe in state taxes. The amount of the tax credit you make does not have to be for the total allowable amount of $200 for single or head of household tax filers or $400 for a couple filing jointly – you can make a difference in our schools with just $ 50, $ 75, or $ 100. You may donate in installments of a minimum of $25 throughout the calendar year or you may donate the maximum at one time. Online credit card donations begin on November 1 or fill out the Tax Credit Form now, which can be dropped off at the Canyon View school office. Please make checks payable to “Catalina Foothills School District” or “CFSD” and note on the check the school and program to which you'd like to contribute. Visit www.cfsd16.org for more information. Please consult with your tax advisor to determine the application of tax credit for your particular situation.
4. Catalina Foothills School District Foundation (district wide): This is a private, non-profit corporation of parents and community members committed to raising funds for all the schools in the Catalina Foothills School District. Monies received through the District Foundation’s fundraising campaigns enable the district to hire additional teachers needed to keep class sizes intact and offer courses not otherwise available. These monies are distributed amongst all the schools in the Catalina Foothills District. Donations are also tax deductible. For more detailed information, visit the CFSD Foundation website www.cfsdfoundation.org
