Help Us Support Our Students

The 2010-2011 Canyon View FFO is asking for each family to donate $100 per child in a 100% tax-deductible direct donation to cover the cost of MAINTAINING existing EXTRA CURRICULUM programs that provide each student with unique learning opportunities including FIELD TRIPS, SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES, ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE PROGRAMS AND SCHOOL FAMILY EVENTS.  If we recieve the $100 per student donation we will be able to continue to provide these  enrichment activities for our children.    All other fundraisers will be used to support new school incentives and improvements.     Donations may be made on-line.

It's an educational, fun, and magical fundraiser to benefit our Canyon View students.   Students (with parents’ help)
practice 20 grade-appropriate math problems at home.  Students then do the same math problems in their classroom. Students will be rewarded with a fabulous Magic Show and a permanent shade structure over the Big  Field Play area. It all adds up to fun!

Feb.8 -  Students return pledge forms to their classrooms
Feb. 9 -  Students rework math problems in their classroom (the same problems they practiced)
Feb. 13 - Pledge forms, including corrected math problems go home with students
Feb. 17 -  Pledge form with pledge money due back to the student's classroom

  Help Canyon View

student programs

while reducing

school fundraisers…

How?

You read correctly: the FFO is trying to reduce the number of fundraisers needed to support field trips, assemblies and other programs by taking advantage of something we all do: buy groceries.  Purchase a $10 Bashas’ Community Card at the Open House and recharge it when you go to Bashas’. The Bashas’ Community Card is like a gift card: you get dollar for dollar the amount you put on the card and Canyon View gets 6%.   It’s that easy!

Last year, only 15 Canyon View families used the Community Support cards consistently for their grocery shopping needs throughout the year, earning about $5000 for our students. Imagine the money we could earn if 150 families used the card?  Our goal is to increase Community Card use thus decreasing the need for more fundraisers.

Are you in? Look for volunteers selling the cards at the Open House. Please purchase a $10 card for you and any friends or family who frequent Bashas’, AJ’s Fine Foods, or Food City. Every time you recharge your card, you will be earning much-needed funds for our school.  Thank you!
