The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., is a youth organization which provides a program that teaches riding, mounted sports, and the care of horses and ponies, and develops responsibility, good moral judgment, leadership, and self-confidence. How does membership in Canterbury Pony Club do this? By building a "well-rounded" horseperson, capable of riding safely and tactfully on the flat, over fences, and in the open, who is knowledgeable about the care of horses and ponies (horse management). Under the auspices of the USPC, Canterbury Pony Club is committed to the well-being of the horse and to the education and safety of the well-balanced rider.
